Long Time, No Post

Wow, I haven't posted since last year! Wow. Of course, my post today has to be in orange because the Bears are going to the SUPERBOWL!!! How sweet is that?!?! My dad and I just watched the game, which was awesome. We kicked the Saints butts. Hehe.

In other news, I start my new job tomorrow. I guess you can say I'm excited. I'm going to be working in the hospital gift shop. I know it's going to be kinda boring, but whatever, it's money. And money is always good...especially with a wedding coming up. I think I work tomorrow from 12-4. It might be 12-7, but I'm not sure. I know the shop is supposed to stay open until 7:00 but I don't know if they'll keep me. I can only work 19 hours per week so I don't think they'll want me to use up 7 hours in one day. We'll see tomorrow, I guess.

The end of my Save the Dates will be mailed tomorrow. I'm glad that they are nearly finished and one less thing crossed off the list. My mom and I are meeting with a DJ next weekend which looks very promising so that is good as well. I also want to see if I can find a videographer to meet with next weekend since we'll be about an hour away from home. Might as well get two meetings done at once.

Other than this, nothing too thrilling going on. I'm going to try to post in here more often, I promise!

Whoo Hoo

My dad called me today and there is a party on Monday for work. I'm excited. I've never had a work Christmas party before, lol. Hopefully it will be fun. I'm sure it will be. Usually they have a buffet of a ton of good food and dessert and everything. Well I shouldn't say that...I've only bee to it once and I that is what I remember! LOL. I went a few years ago but that was when only my dad worked there so I didn't really know anybody. Now this year, since I've worked there the past two summers at least I'll know everybody. Maybe there will be an open bar, lol. I'm just excited to go, have a good time, and not have to do any work!!!

Wedding Related Update

Wow, it's December already and a whole month since I last posted. My oh my...where has the time gone?! Everything has just been craaaaazy lately. The wedding is only 4 months away. I can't believe it. We have sooo much stuff left to do its unbelievable. The save the dates will hopefully be out by the end of the week. We booked a photographer 2 weeks ago which I am super excited about.

We still need:

• Cake Person
• Florist
• Invitations (I believe we are ordering these on Friday)
• Favors
• Wedding Party Gifts
• Videographer
• DJ

Thats all I can think of for now, but I'm sure there is more. Blah. Oh and my girls have to order their bridesmaid dresses. I'm really starting to freak out about those, but ugh...there is nothing I can do. It's crazy to think that in 4 months I'm going to be leaving Illinois and moving to New York....the Eastern Time Zone. AHHHHH. Everyone knows that the CST is waaaay better. Maybe one day we will work our way back here. Who knows.

Besides wedding stuff, I've been helping my mom at work a lot lately. It seems like all of her volunteers are leaving. :-( Hopefully they'll be able to find some new people to work there. Well, I'm kinda tired sooo, I'm gonna get going for now!

Oy Vey...

Man...I have been like so confused these past couple of days. I don't know why. I think it might be because of Chris's new work schedule. He's on this new rotation schedule so his days off don't fall on the weekend, they fall during the week. So since like last Wednesday I've been completely off. Today definitely didn't feel like a Sunday. I had to take Aunt Pam's car to get fixed on Friday and I was supposed to pick up the keys from her house on Thursday but I didn't go because on Thursday I thought it was still Wednesday. Geez!!

I've been helping my mom at work a lot lately. It's fun sometimes, but at least it's something to do. And...I get a free lunch out of it. The hospital has the best tuna fish ever! I could eat it for like every meal. Today I just had a roast beef sandwhich though because they don't have the little deli bar open on Sundays. :-( I also got ice cream. I've been craving ice cream for like 2 weeks but have never gotten any. They didn't have the kind I wanted but I've been waiting so long I got a different kind anyways, just to have some ice cream!

Wedding planning is going well. Yesterday mom, Aunt Pam, and I went to Direct Buy to look at the invitations. I love them just as much as before. There are so many things to order, lol. Invitations, thank you notes, place cards, reception cards, and the list goes on! Oh and something that made me mad. Like okay I really shouldn't complain, but it just got on my nerves. Last week mom and I went shopping and she found 2 skirts and a top that she was going to decide on for her outfit for the wedding. Well she couldn't pick between the two skirts so she bought both with the intentions of showing them to a few people, finding out which they liked better, and then returning the one that they didn't pick. Well, all of a sudden, she's keeping BOTH skirts. So, all together she has over $300 worth of clothes. So then we are looking at invitations and she starts complaining that we have to pay extra to have lined envelopes. It costs $15.00 more for the lining. Yet she could pay $100 for a skirt that she was supposed to return?! That just kind of upset me. But she ended up saying that we could have the lining. We're going to hopefully go back sometime soon to place the order. I just have to talk with Chris about a couple of things first so I make sure I order the correct stuff.

Wow, I can't believe how much I typed already. I think I'm going to go play a few games on msn before I hit the hay.

So Frustrated...

This website is very much starting to frustrate me!!! I've tried to create a link like 10 million times and everytime it doesn't work. So frustrating. I even typed in the HTML code myself and it STILL didn't work. Grrrrrrr. I guess I will keep toying with it and see if I can figure out what the problem is.

Introduction

Hi! I decided to begin a blog on this website because my future sister-in-law, Jessica, has one on here. It seems like a nice site though I am particularly addicted to my livejournal. So, I don't know how much I'll actually post on here. But I'll certainly do my best to update it regularly. I hope later on, I can try to tweak the page so that it looks really cool and pretty and everything.
